A Look back at the Fall 2009 Workshop
Fourth
BayOpX® Workshop turns its Spotlight on "Energy Efficiency"
This year, the BayOpX®
workshop took place in Germany for what is now the fourth time. The successful
and now firmly established series of events organized by Bayer Technology
Services focuses on services available in the field of "Operational
Excellence". This fall, the spotlight was turned firmly on the hot topic "Energy Efficiency".

Over 70 customers and other interested representatives of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in North-Rhine Westphalia gathered at the Kardinal Schulte Haus in Bergisch Gladbach on October 2, 2009. This year's event attracted a record response.

During the program of presentations, participants were able to find out more about how to use energy efficiently in process control and process engineering applications in industrial plants and companies. The "Climate Footprint" and "Energy Check for Buildings" displays inspired in-depth discussions of specific case studies between the participants and the experts of Bayer Technology Services.

"The excellent response to the workshop shows that our services, methods and experience fully correspond to the needs of our customers in the field of "Operational Excellence" for production operations," said Dr. Ariane Firus-Göing. Dr. Firus-Göing is responsible for external key accounts in the Business Management section of Bayer Technology Services.

The BayOpX® series of events was launched in 2007. Thanks to the positive feedback the workshops have received, they are now held several times a year in Germany and, recently, the first events have also taken place in the United States and China.
